One of the rising costs NCL faces is their payroll costs due to Hawaii’s low unemployment. Hawaii’s cruise industry has been booming ever since NCL entered the market making it one of the most popular cruise destinations in the nation.

as a former employee i can say that not only are they a complete ripoff telling me as a bar server to upgrade any drink order to souvineir cup, because it costs an addl 3.50 a drink nd , to “DO NOT OFFER REGULAR PrICE DRINKS, ONLY SOUVENIER ANYTHING TO ADD MORE WITHOUT THEM NOTICING” A DECIEVING EMPLOYER THAT NOT ONLY IS COMPLETELY unfair and honestly prison like living situations and rules, oh god the rules they had were so demeaning and made employees feel low and below, it was wrong and just plain insane to em the way they trap you into this “paradise job” that usually requires you to spend about 1200 dollars to get home,, because they will kick you off on the next island with very little notice, mANY ncl employees become homeless on hawaii, dont support this crule and ripp off co.
